Vision Statement

We strive to work as humble teammates to provide the best literature at the best price. Our personal dedication to this contributes to each of us becoming better individual writers and people. This perseverance in productivity will bring success for the company and each client we work with, while helping each of us see tangible results, obtain positive feedback and have a great work experience.

About Our Company

We are a small company that is doing our part in creating a positive American work experience and help to bring back outsourced Midwestern jobs.

We provide a full service studio, being able to perform in-house or on-site mechanical (shop) disassembly and photography to CAD (computer-aided design) manipulation of 2D/3D models. The end result is color or grayscale images and vector graphics (2 color line-art) for parts/assembly explodes for various publication support needs.  We have years of experience writing parts manuals, service manuals, operator manuals, instruction sheets, service manuals and technical manuals.

About Brad

Brad started out his continuing education with an Associate of Science Degree from UW-Manitowoc Center. He then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Writing from Lakeland College.

For Brad’s career, he started out as a Parts Catalog Writer for four years writing for a local writing studio. Working for numerous local manufacturers, varying from lawn tractors to mining companies, Brad reviewed prints, created parts lists, proofed parts catalogs, created art and added supporting parts lists.

While at the same writing studio, Brad worked on technical manuals and then was promoted into writing Operator Manuals and Installation Instructions. He was then advanced to a supervisory position for that department. He has a total of over 14 years of technical writing and supervisor experience.

In addition to utilizing his years of parts department background for technical writing, Brad learned and used several different CAD programs, including Immersive Design (IPA), PTC Creo (formerly Pro/ENGINEERING), and VisMockup (Siemens Corporation). With these programs, he created high quality grayscale and vector line art images for many different parts explodes, and assembly and disassembly illustrations. Using these created images for the publications, he worked on hundreds of Installation Instructions, Operator Manuals, and Service Manuals. Wanting to expand his abilities and love for technical writing, Brad then decided to start Red Hawk Technical Writing.

Having an athletic background, Brad still enjoys following local sports teams and Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling (which he was involved with in grade school and high school). He enjoys being involved in almost any outdoor and nature activity. Besides his love and passion for technical writing, Brad also enjoys golfing, tennis, fishing, hiking, camping, traveling, and living and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
