To tell you a little about me—I use to install rain gutters on homes and businesses for 17 years, and then I finally decided to go back to school to learn photography.

As a child, I grew up on a farm and I always remember dreaming of being a photographer. I dreamed of taking outdoorsy pictures and always thought that maybe one day I could sell the photos to magazines or to greeting card companies.

When I returned school, I didn’t know how much there was to learn about photography; I just thought you needed a camera and some ideas of things to take a pictures of.  I soon realized that there was way more to photography then that: lighting your subjects properly, posing your subject in a flattering way, using depth of field, and so much more. WOW! I also learned that there are so many areas of photography to specialize in. I was amazed! I learned about portrait photography, a little forensic photography, and some product photography too. I also learned some photo editing software and that lets me do some really creative things with my photographs. I enjoy learning it all.

I have since graduated with a degree in Visual Communications and I decided to open my own portrait photography studio. I have also decided to sell some of my best photographs as prints and have them printed, mounted, and sent to customers per their requests.
